Our natural cervical A1 programmes normally run over a natural cycle of approximately 17-20 days. The ewes are continuously run with vasectomised rams which detect, and mark the in-heat ewes as they cycle naturally. The marked in-heat ewes are drafted off each day for insemination.

The donor (elite) rams are run on the property and the semen is collected and processed each day as required. The in-heat ewes are inseminated with this fresh semen normally within an hour or so of collection.

Also lambing will occur over a natural cycle, therefore reducing the risk of one storm having a major impact on the outcome.

Because we supply all the equipment including specially designed sheep handlers then basic woolshed facilities are all that is required.

We have 16 years' experience in this industry and inseminated 55,000 ewes during 1997 and 1998 involving 20 separate programmes. All these programmes have reported a conception rate of at least 70%.

The actual technology cost can be less than $3.00 per ewe.

With our track record being well documented and our willingness to be competitive, I believe our service is an attractive new viable option for the sheep industry.
